Launched: TVS Apache RTR 165 Race Performance at 1.45 lakhs

In a press release, TVS Motor Company announced the launch of its new Race Performance (RP) range of motorcycles. The TVS Apache series of motorcycles will be the first to feature the new Race Performance series.

A total of 200 units of the new TVS Apache RTR 165 RP will be made available to customers as part of the Race Performance series, which is the first product to be introduced under this brand.

 

This new model is based on the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, albeit it has a changed bore to stroke ratio to improve performance. 

 

The RP version is powered by a 164.9cc, single-cylinder, four-valve engine that produces 18.9bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm. The engine is mated with a six-speed manual gearbox. 

 

According to the manufacturer, the new cylinder head on the motorcycle will have a 35% increase in intake as well as a two-electrode spark plug. The valves on the motor have been increased by 15% as well.

The new Apache RTR 165 RP, in addition to the mechanical modifications, comes equipped with a Race-Tuned slipper clutch, adjustable clutch and brake levers, all-new TVS Racing decals, red alloy wheels, and a revised seat pattern.

This Apache RTR Model model also features a 240mm rear disc brake, which is the first of its kind in the segment, which improves braking performance.
