  • It is believed that the feature will speed up the starting of applications
  • Infinix phones have built-in storage that can be used to increase the amount of RAM available

The Infinix Note 11 and Infinix Note 11S are getting a software update that includes a feature that allows them to have more RAM. Users will benefit from an enhanced multitasking performance as the inbuilt RAM will be virtually increased to up to 3GB as a result of this.

According to Infinix, the number of applications that can be operated simultaneously on the Infinix Note 11S has increased from nine to twenty as a result of the expanded RAM technology.

According to the business, the overall launch speed of apps that are running at the same time will be raised by 60% to 300ms on the Infinix Note 11 range of smartphones.

As a result of the extended RAM capability, the Infinix Note 11 and Infinix Note 11S will be able to use their internal storage to function essentially as RAM. According to the firm, the new feature would enable users to view apps and games more quickly, even if they transition between different ones.

With the upgrade, the RAM on the Infinix Note 11S 8GB + 128Gb of internal storage option will be increased by 3GB to 11GB, bringing the total RAM to 16GB. The 6GB variant of Infinity Note 11S will have the ability to increase RAM by 1GB, bringing the total amount of RAM to 7GB.

The Infinix Note 11 4GB + 64GB configuration would increase the RAM by 1GB, bringing it to 5GB.

As an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade for both the Note 11 and Note 11S, Infinix is starting to roll out the software-based upgrade over the next few days, and it will be available to all users shortly after.

Go to Settings >> System >> System Update >> Online Update on your phone to see if there is an update available.

According to the business, the feature will be activated automatically on the Infinix phone if the amount of RAM available is insufficient to ensure seamless performance.

This means that customers will not be able to view the RAM change on their Infinix phone unless they explicitly activate any settings on their phones.

Notably, Infinix isn't the only smartphone maker to provide increased RAM on its latest models, which should be noted. The inbuilt storage of phones from companies such as Realme, Samsung, Vivo, and Xiaomi can be used as RAM, and equivalent functionalities have been included on their devices.

This past month, the Infinix Note 11 and Infinix Note 11S were introduced in India. In addition to having triple rear cameras, both phones have 5,000mAh batteries.
